Table 2.1 shows that overall point of view of both male and female respondents groups towards the six choices of benefits are at the middle level of agreement (Male: Total mean = 2.52 = Middle, Female: Total mean = 2.70 = Middle).

In detailed, the respondents agreements toward these choices are at middle level:
·         Treats all customers in a convenient way (Male: mean = 2.37, Female: mean = 2.43).
·         Exhibits a thorough knowledge of products and services (Male: mean = 2.71, Female: mean = 2.60).
·         Lets you waiting longer than necessary for a demand (Male: mean = 2.82, Female: mean = 3.41).
·         Overall how satisfied are you with the service you receive from Argos (Male: mean = 3.25, Female: 3.41).
The respondents’ agreements toward these choices are at low level:
·         Takes feedback from customers (Male: mean = 1.98, Female: mean = 2.33).
·         Shows sincere interest in solving problem (Male: mean = 2.00, Female: mean = 2.04).
As from the table, it seems that male and female respondents had different perception towards customer service at Argos stores (total mean are different, 2.52 and 2.70 respectively). Therefore, an assessment using an independent group t-test was done. The results are shown in table 2.1a and 2.1b.
